Warden Lake RV Resort

Warden Lake RV Resort

The Warden Lake RV Resort, located in Warden Washington, sits on 22 acres of land. The property has twenty-four RV sites that have full hookups including water, sewage, garbage, and power of 30 or 50 amp depending on the site. There are fifteen cabins on the property that range in amenities, including deluxe, short term, and long term options. All of the units are exclusively available to members of the resort currently, but in the future, the owners hope to make one of the deluxe cabins more of an Airbnb style, where those who are not members can stay in the cabin. There is a private dock on Warden Lake for those staying at the property, and there are bathrooms and showers available to patrons as well.

About

The Warden Lake RV Resort sits on the banks of Warden Lake between the cities of Moses Lake and Othello Washington. The property is twenty-two acres and is a gated community resort. There are twenty-four sites and fifteen cabins on the grounds. All of the RV sites have full hookups of water, electricity, sewage, and garbage with a range of 30 and 50 amp power. There are deluxe and basic cabin options. Each of the cabins features brown painted wood exteriors, with green metal roofs and a small porch area on the front of the building. There are stairs that lead to the entrance to each of the cabins. All of the cabins have full kitchen units, as well as air conditioning, and a fire pit that guests can use when weather permits.

Various amenities that guests can use and enjoy are located on the grounds of the resort. There is a front office building, laundry room facilities, a shop, and a clubhouse. The main office building is two stories high with a patio on the upper level that includes a seating area. The office opens from double doors with glass panes and there is a soda machine near the front entrance as well. Due to the property being located on the edge of Warden Lake, there are different activities that guests can do on the premises. Patrons are allowed to fish on the lake for an additional fee. There are various types of fish that can be found in Warden Lake with the most popular species including largemouth bass, channel catfish, and golden trout. In the future, the owners hope to add different rentals to the business including paddleboards, kayaks, and boat rentals. They also hope to add a dog park area where pets can be off their leashes as well as a kid's playground area.

Culture

The Warden Lake RV Resort strives to provide hands-on service and help guests to have a good experience. The owners' goal is to provide a safe, comfortable place for patrons to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Many who stay at the property comment on the cleanliness of the property and the spacious areas that guests can roam. One past visitor said, "Peaceful areas for walking. Pet friendly and close to the lake. The owners/managers are respectful of your needs, the park is very clean and prices are very fair." Others who stay at the resort comment on the beauty of the lake, the amenities that are found on the grounds, and the private docks on the lake for those who are staying there. Another patron said "A clean, quiet, and very friendly place. Nice large RV spaces with nice grassy areas between the RV sites. Well lit, lots of areas to hold family reunions, or company picnics."

While staying at the Warden Lake RV Resort, the owners have policies in place that they ask guests to abide by. The property is a "crime-free" and "drug-free" resort, meaning that drugs are prohibited on the grounds. Additionally, the resort allows animals to come and stay with their owners, but there are specific breed restrictions and the pets must be on a leash at all times unless inside one of the cabins. The specifics of which breeds are allowed can be found out by calling and talking with staff on site. There is smoking allowed on the property, only in designated areas. Lastly, quiet time starts at 10:00 PM every night and goes until 8:00 AM in the morning.

While on the grounds, the owners hope that guests will be able to relax and have fun spending time with family and friends. In an attempt to provide guests with this experience, the resort has a relatively large field where visitors can play games such as frisbee golf. Additionally, the property is twenty-two acres and as such there are many areas of the resort with open land that patrons can explore and walk around.

The resort sits thirteen miles from Moses Lake Washington and Othello Washington. With the location of the resort being on the water and in between both cities, there is a diverse range of activities that guests can enjoy. In Moses Lake, there is a water park named Surf'n Slide Water Park that many visitors to the resort have visited in the past. Close to the resort is the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge, which hosts tours that patrons can go on and see the various animals native to the region. Some nearby restaurants that the owner recommends include Mel's Diner, Las Morenitas, and Gramps Burger Joint.

History

The previous owners of the resort owned the property for 16 years prior to the current owners. The Warden Lake RV Resort was one of the first established properties in the city of Warden Washington and was the first business established on the lake.

The current owners of the Warden Lake RV Resort bought the property in November of 2021. They originally purchased the land because the owners had worked in the hospitality industry in various positions for the majority of their lives, and felt it was time to take the next steps and own a business. One of the things that the owners love the most about their jobs is "being able to be the person that makes people's dreams of coming to a resort come true." They also enjoy interacting with guests and helping them have a good experience at the property. During their time at the business, they have updated the property including the addition of the ice machines and updating the camera systems. They also updated the park-owned cabins so they now include fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide sensors.
