Trees are scattered throughout the property providing shade to many of the spaces during sunnier times of the year. Regarding how they want guests to feel when they stay at the Traveler’s Paradise RV Park, the owner of the property says he wants guests to “feel safe” while they are there. The gate surrounding the property is one aspect of the property that helps with this desire. According to the RV park’s website, the gate and the location of the park should help guests “enjoy all the comforts of being in a convenient, quiet city setting.” The owner also says that the majority of guests who do stay with him are usually contracted workers who stay for months at a time. As such, the amenities offered at the park are more tailored toward guests who are staying for months at a time rather than for patrons who stay for only a day or two. With that being said, there are still spots available for those who wish to stay for shorter periods, such as a day or a week or two.
The park is open year-round, with the busiest seasons of the year for the property occurring during spring and early fall. The owner says that the RV park is usually more active when the area's economy has more work to offer. Reviews for the property from people who have stayed there in the past are mostly positive. A handful of people appreciated being able to have their pets with them. One guest said, “the park is very shady and is pet friendly. We have two Rottweilers, and we were welcomed and treated fairly.” Other guests commented that “the management is friendly and helpful. It's clean, and, most of all, there is shade.”
There are a number of policies that the RV park asks its guests to follow to try to maintain a safe atmosphere. Some of the most important include observing a quiet time on the premises between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM and ensuring that pets are on a leash and are cleaned up after. Smoking is allowed on the property, but guests must do so away from the shower and laundry facilities. The management also asks that guests refrain from throwing cigarette butts on the ground, and instead use the provided trash cans around the park to dispose of them.
The Traveler’s Paradise RV Park was established in the 1990s and was originally a mobile home park. Some years later, the original owner changed the property from a mobile home park to an RV park. The current owner has owned the park for four years. Some of the largest changes he has made to the property in his time of owning it have been updating the shower and laundry facilities and working on the upkeep of the landscaping. He says that his favorite part of owning the property has been the opportunity to work in the hospitality industry.
