The Ridge Outdoor Resort

The Ridge Outdoor Resort

The Ridge Outdoor Resort is located in Sevierville, Tennessee. The campground is located in the Great Smoky Mountains, three miles out from tourist stops such as Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. The property offers various unique features and amenities that visitors say they haven't seen in other places. One of these features is tiny homes on the premises that guests can rent out. Another is a golf simulator, available to any guests who bring their own clubs. The property has a pool, pickleball courts, a basketball court, a fitness center, and more. The RV park is pet-friendly and welcoming to all who desire to stay at The Ridge.

About

This particular campground spreads out across about 50 acres of land, with a total of 162 sites that guests are welcome to choose from to accommodate their stays. The sites are broken down into 150 RV sites, seven glamping tents, and, uniquely, 5 tiny homes. The RV sites are all 50 to 40 AMP sites and from 62 feet to 100 feet long. They all come with free internet and cable and pet friendly. The glamping at the campground is a popular choice among visitors due to it offering customers a high-end tent experience. Each one is equipped with a canvas tent, providing a sturdy covering for its occupants. These tents can house up to six people and are also pet-friendly. And lastly, as mentioned, a unique feature of Ridge Outdoor Resort is its tiny homes, where guests can experience a simpler lifestyle while still enjoying the desired luxuries of their home. Each home can house two guests and include a modern bathroom, a kitchen, a bedroom, and a living area.

A camp store is located in this area with basic camping needs available for guests to purchase, such as drinks, RV supplies, and T-shirts. There is also a Zero entry pool for kids to splash around in and a pool deck for guardians to watch over them. There is a "Bark Park" provided by the property for the pets that guests have brought. Another unique feature about the property is its golf simulator, for which guests are asked to bring their own clubs. Finally, for those who would like to keep up on their workout routines, there is a fitness center on the property that visitors are free to use. The property is planning on adding more amenities to the campground in the summer of 2021, so there are many things that guests can look forward to.

Culture

The Ridge Outdoor Resort owner and staff strive to provide their customers with a "high-end luxury camping experience," as stated by the owner, Jessica Hale. Guests of Ridge Outdoor have noted their enjoyment of the various amenities and mention that the campground can provide a quiet and spacious atmosphere. One guest left a review saying that "the folks that work in the office and the grounds are all friendly. The grounds and the whole place are super clean. The sites are far enough apart you're not up against your neighbor. In the close to 50 years of RVing the Ridge is a quality place to go." Another guest said that "these campground owners want all of us campers to have it all! They have a fitness center, a kid's room, covered basketball, pickleball, and a gaga ball court. I can’t forget that big pool that you can enjoy sitting in chairs underwater on a hot summer day. If you need to do laundry before heading home, they have top-notch machines."

Ridge takes pride in its glamping experience, allowing campers to experience several luxuries of tenting that are not experienced otherwise. Ridge is known for its large sites, which they state "allows them to be completely different from everyone else in the area." One thing that factors into the experience at Ridge Outdoor Resort is that it was "built from the ground up," allowing a unique appeal to their consumers.

Upon heading into town, consumers can experience Dollywood, a theme park created by Dolly Parton. Here, guests can enjoy several rides, such as the Dollywood Express, a full-length steam engine that serves as one of the park's main attractions. Great Smoky Mountain's National Park is located near this campground, where climbers can experience a part of the Appalachian Trail. Pigeon Forge, a location destination spot, is a 15-minute drive from the campsite, which offers several attractions such as live entertainment and arcades.

History

The Ridge Outdoor Resort was created in 2019 by the owner Jessica Hale, who has had over 30 years of experience in the RV industry. Upon selling a prior property, Jessica decided to create this new glamping experience from the ground up. This experience led to 50 acres of land being purchased and turned into an RV hot stop for the town of Sevierville. Many people have now stayed there, leaving over 350 reviews on Google Reviews, the majority of which have been positive. Jessica has had her RV park go through 2 "phases," where she has added many amenities, and she now plans for a third phase of her RV park, at which signature sites, a swimming lagoon, and a fishing pond will be added to the property for the use of all visitors.
