Southside RV Park is situated near the city of Dillion, Montana the local area is known for the many rivers, creeks, and other bodies of water considered to be blue ribbon fishing. The Property can be relatively shaded with mature trees and has Blacktail Creek running through it. The establishment has 40 sites, each have full hookups and a grass area with a picnic table available to guests. There is also laundry, bathrooms, showers, and a communal fire pit that guests can use. The owner strives to help guests feel comfortable and hopes to help them have a relaxing stay. Many of those coming to the property are often fishing in the area or doing day trips visiting the surrounding ghost towns, looking for crystals, or hiking and biking. One of the better seasons to visit the campground can be during the summer months, but the campground is generally open from the spring to the fall.

There are 40 sites on the property, all of which have full hookups including water, sewage, and electricity, with 30 and 50 amp service included at each spot. Campsites also include a grassy area with a picnic table and may have a tree for shade. Notably, Site 5 has a gazebo on the grassy area and is the only site with this amenity. In the future, the owners hope to add gazebos to a number of other sites on the property.
There are several communal amenities and facilities at the park available to all people staying at the park. The laundry facilities are on the north end of the park near the front office. Machines are coin-operated, and guests must bring their own soaps to use them. To the side of the facilities are trash cans that can be used during one's stay. Across the bridge are the bathroom facilities and a communal fire pit. The fire pit is often used for small gatherings and events and is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests can also sit along the creek, although fishing is discouraged on the property.
Dillion Montana has many rivers and creeks near the town, as well as several bodies of water. Beaverhead River runs alongside the town, and Big Hole River is located to the north; both are rivers that visitors can fish along. Below Southside RV Park is the Clark Canyon Reservoir, where visitors can do boat fishing and other aquatic activities. Other guests coming to the park use their time on day trips near Dillion. Activities often include visiting Jackson or Elkhorn Hot Springs, scenic byways such as Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway, or visiting Bannack State Park, which contains a small ghost town as well as other natural attractions. The owner mentions that guests have also visited Crystal Park, where visitors mine or search for crystals and keep what they find or see areas Lewis and Clark may have visited.
The owners and staff strive to give guests a comfortable and relaxing stay. They try to provide these experiences by staying available for questions visitors may have and trying to assist them in finding attractions or places to dine that may help them enjoy the area. Janet, the owner, mentions that she prides herself on putting the customer first. When the campground is completely full, she tries to make accommodations to help the patron's stay, and when none can be made, she has even helped them find nearby campgrounds that might be available. Janet tries to create good relationships among patrons and staff and will often talk with visitors throughout the day to get to know them. Guests have often talked about the efforts of the team and the location of the park. One visitor said this after their stay: "The owners are knowledgeable and friendly and accommodating. The park is clean and groomed, and level. Restful and relaxing after a long day of traveling.
Many of the guests staying at the property during the summer and fall months are often European or from varying states across the country. Several patrons have been coming to the RV park for over 20 years, and many others visiting the property are repeat guests. Often, due to the fishing in the area and the various day trips that visitors can participate in, the RV Park has patrons who come back multiple years in a row. Several patrons have also come to the area for the University of Montana, which is nearby, or to visit family in the local area. The owner of the Southside RV Park hopes that patrons feel informed of activities in the area so that they have a greater opportunity to have an enjoyable trip. She also hopes that guests feel that the staff are there to help them. The property has several policies put in place in hopes to help visitors feel safe and comfortable. Pets are allowed on the property, but the owner asks that people do not bring aggressive breeds. They ask that dogs be kept on a leash and cleaned up after. Southside RV park also asks that its patrons be respectful of others and has instituted quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. They also ask that guests do not smoke in public areas. The business is open generally from the spring to fall but is typically busiest during the summer months.
