Rocky Top Motel and Campground is located in Green Mountain Falls, Colorado, which is about a twenty-minute drive away from Colorado Springs, Colorado. The property is located near many outdoor activities, but also has many features and amenities for the use of guests that would like to spend time at their living space.
The Rocky Top Motel & Campground is on 10 acres of land. The surrounding area consists mainly of trees and hills. It is located very close to many different mountains that visitors are able to visit, explore, hike, and sightsee. Some of these mountains are Raspberry Mountain, Mt Manitou, Ormes Peak, and Pikes Peak. If guests are looking for other mountains or various hikes, they need only to pull up a map of the area, and they will find additional places to visit.
The property has a handful of lodging options. The most available option is the many RV sites. There are over 40 units where guests are able to park their RV's, all of which are full hookup sites, allowing guests access to electricity and other facilities that they may desire. If visitors don't have an RV, they may choose between eight tent sites and thirteen motel rooms. Each tent site has a picnic table and a fire ring, allowing for people to sit by the fire, tell stories, eat some smores, or play games. The rooms in the motel all have a table with chairs, a microwave, a mid-size refrigerator, and a coffee maker. Along with the living space are the natural views around the campground of the mountains that are surrounding the area.
There is a main office at which guests can purchase soda, chips, candy, laundry detergent, toilet paper, and other useful items. The property offers some basic amenities, including free Wi-Fi and a laundry facility. Along with these amenities is a dog park, allowing guests to bring their pets with them.
Because the property is within a twenty-minute drive to the city, there are also many things that guests can do in Colorado Springs if they desire to get a change of pace from the outdoors.

The motel on the property was originally built in 1947 and was first called Motel X. It has since been updated a bit and is now called Rocky Top Motel and Campground. In the 1950s, when small RVs were invented and started to become more popular, the owners of Rocky Top Motel and Campground started to open up some of the property for RV spaces. Since then, spots for RV's have become the most common availability at the property. Daniel Nieman, the current owner of the campground, has been the owner since 2017 and has put a lot of work into updating the motel and the campgrounds.
