Wilderness Expeditions RV Park is located in Salida, Colorado. Salida is surrounded by mountains and rivers, providing authentic natural backdrops for the various outdoor activities in the area. It is a location that draws many kayakers, rafters, hikers, horseback riders, and fishers. Salida also has fun shops and restaurants downtown to explore.
Wilderness Expeditions RV Park is on 8.5 acres of land with mountains and rivers surrounding the property. There are 42 sites, most of them being RV sites, with a few tents and dry camping sites. There are different sizes of RV sites, accomodating RVs of various lengths, as well as pull-through sites. Amenities include restrooms and showers that are kept clean for guests to use, as well as water and 30 amp power. The campground has a place for families to gather in the center of the campground. There is a pavilion, perfect for breakfasts, pot-luck dinners, and other little celebrations. WiFi is provided for guests to stay connected if necessary. The property also offers some natural amenities that guests tend to enjoy. There is a river that runs right through the property and ponds for guests to enjoy fishing. These features are available and keep guests entertained right on the property.

There are many adventurous activities in the area and things to do on the property during the day. Ultimately, however the campground is geared towards those who are hoping to step away from the busy world and relax in a peaceful setting. At Wilderness Expeditions RV Park, there are quite a few elderly or retired couples who stay full time on the campground. Wilderness Expeditions RV Park is unique because of its location. It is the only RV park within city limits, making it convenient for those passing through town or visiting town often. Wilderness Expeditions RV Park is also proud of its long list of return customers and long-term guests who stay with them. Guests have commented on the river and how fun it is to have it right on site, as well as the vast number of trees, providing excellent shaded areas. Guests are often surprised by how peaceful and pretty the campground is because of the location and how close it is to the city. Salida is a tourism town. With the surrounding mountains, many visitors come for ATVing, mountain biking, trail running, rafting, and more. The busy months are June and July at Wilderness Expeditions RV Park.
