Putter’s Paradise RV Park is located on the outskirts of Snowflake, Arizona. The park has a total of 87 spaces that guests can rent. Of those spaces, 23 are designated as daily or weekly rentals, with the other 64 sites lodging long-term guests. Each site comes with full 30 or 50 amp hookups and a small gravel space separating one unit from the next. There is also a clubhouse on the property with a variety of activities guests can do, including playing ping pong, watching TV, and swimming in the property’s pool. Sue, one of the park’s managers, says the park is well known for being a quiet and friendly community. There are events that the property hosts throughout the year so patrons can socialize.
Located in the town of Snowflake, Arizona is the Putter’s Paradise RV Park. At the park itself, there are 87 different sites that guests can reserve, with 64 of them being long-term spaces. The remaining 23 sites are available for rent during any time of the year. All of the sites have a small gravel space separating each space from one another; some of which include a tree that can provide shade for the space during the summertime. Additionally, there are 13 park models that guests can rent. These models are single-wide trailers with a bedroom and a kitchen with a living area.
On the grounds, guests can visit the clubhouse. The clubhouse is a two-story 4000 square-foot building with a variety of activities that guests can do. Both the first and second floors have a TV, and there is also a pool table, a ping pong table, and snack and soda machines. There is a space set apart where patrons can do their laundry and can shower; the showers and washers and dryers are all coin-operated. Behind the clubhouse, there is a pool and a gazebo that can be used during the summer months at the leisure of the patrons.
The park gets its name from the Snowflake Golf Course, which is a quarter-mile from the property. Situated next to the golf course is the Snowflake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which guests can view as they play on the course. For guests looking for more diverse outdoor activities, the Grand Canyon National Park is two hours away, where guests can observe the formation and find trails to hike. According to Sue, one of the managers of the property, there is also a park in the area, which is a recreation of the Flintstones community from the cartoon of the same name. Visitors searching for restaurants to try may visit The Skillet Café close to the RV park, which serves mainly breakfast and lunch.
For those who stay at Putter’s Paradise RV Park, there are various small social events put on by the park. Every month, a potluck is hosted at the clubhouse, where both long-term and short-term patrons are welcome to bring a dish and socialize. There is also a social hour hosted every week at the clubhouse. Over the weekend, there is usually a small group of long-term residents that will go to the golf course and will invite other guests to go along with them. Sue, one of the managers of the property, says that the park has a reputation for being a quiet and friendly community thanks to many of the sites being designated as monthly sites. She says that guests are usually pretty varied, and many of the year-round residents are sociable and will offer assistance where other guests may need it. The busiest time of year for the property seems to occur in the summertime when people will stay for the season.
Many guests have left reviews regarding their stay at the Putter's Paradise RV Park. Some mention the community of the RV park, such as one guest who said, “All the people we met were nice and made us feel welcomed. John and Susan manage the park and are nice and helpful. They invited us to attend and participate in the activities.” Other guests have appreciated the variety of amenities offered, saying that their family “enjoyed the pool and the game room that’s offered.” These reviews reflect the hopes Sue has for people who stay with her. She wants guests to enjoy themselves enough to want to tell other people about their experiences.
In hopes to provide a quiet and friendly atmosphere at Putter’s Paradise RV Park, there are some policies that the park managers ask that guests follow during their stay. The most important policy they ask is that people drive slowly through the park, mindful of guests around them. Other policies include ensuring that children age 14 and under are always accompanied by a parent or adult and observing the park’s quiet time from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Pets are allowed on the premises but must be kept on a leash at all times. Finally, smoking is permitted but must be done away from the clubhouse, gazebo, and pool.
The Putter’s Paradise RV Park opened in 1983 and was operated by the original owner until it was bought by another owner in 2015. That owner ran the park for four years before selling the property to the current owners in 2019. Since purchasing the property, the current owners have made a variety of updates to the property. These include repainting and installing hardwood floors in the clubhouse, purchasing gravel to level some RV sites, and remodeling the room next to the pool to have more significant storage space. Future plans are to further update the pool area and the pool itself.
The managers of the property are John and Sue Tagg. They both enjoy being able to meet all the people who stay at the park. When guests ask about things to do in the area, they are happy to suggest various attractions that they know of. John is also a trained RV mechanic, and should guests need something fixed on their RV, he strives to help them fix it.
