Pine Ridge RV Park is located on the southern edge of Ruidoso, New Mexico, a town in the state's southeast corner. The area that is now the campground was initially organized in the late 1960s and has changed in both management and function multiple times throughout its history. The current owners, Bryan and Charlotte Sims, purchased the property in 2019 and have been operating it since. Bryan and Charlotte strive to create an atmosphere that encourages customers to want to come back to the property again after their first visit. Located in the southeast corner of the state of New Mexico, Pine Ridge RV Park is located next to the mountain range that is on the southern edge of the town Ruidoso. The campground is a 9-acre property at the foot of the mountain range and contains 60 RV sites for guests to choose from upon reservation.
The primary office is located at the entrance to the property. The main office is where patrons can check in and make in-person reservations to the campground with the owners, Bryan and Charlotte Sims. In addition, the office contains various amenities for the occupants of Pine Ridge RV Park to utilize during their stay. These amenities include a meeting and game room, bath and washrooms, an outdoor porch where guests can spend their free time, and a coin-operated laundry area. The main office is also equipped with a two-bedroom and one-bathroom loft that patrons may elect to use during their stay in the place of one of the RV sites.
The amenities available to the patrons of Pine Ridge RV Park include more than what is found in the main office as well. Each of the 60 RV sites is equipped with full hookups for RVs. The hookups in these sites include 24-channel Dish Network TV, city water, and electric. There are both pull-through and back-in sites available throughout the campground to occupants, depending on their personal preference. In addition, each RV site is outfitted with a retaining wall put in place to keep excess dirt from the neighboring mountain from spilling into the individual sites and provides a flat area for the RVs to park in. Bryan and Charlotte plan to add additional amenities for the customers of Pine Ridge RV Park, including a dog park and newly renovated retaining walls.
Pine Ridge RV Park is open year-round, with the busiest time of year being during the summer months. Guests to the campground have multiple ways to spend their time on and off the property. The surrounding area has various attractions that visitors of the campground can utilize during their stay. These attractions include various horse races found in the nearby towns, skiing opportunities during the winter months, hiking trails throughout the mountains, and White Sands National Park.
Charlotte and Bryan Sims, the owners of the Pine Ridge RV Park, say that they strive to "treat everyone like family" in their efforts to operate Pine Ridge RV Park. They have made it their goal to ultimately create a culture where customers "love it [here] and want to come back again." In hopes of achieving their goals for the culture of Pine Ridge RV Park, Charlotte and Bryan have instituted multiple policies that all guests are expected to follow during their stay at the property. These policies include a mandated quiet time for the entire campground from the hours of 10 pm to 8 am every night, a ban on campfires due to the campground being within city limits, a ban on tent camping within the confines of the property, a zero-tolerance policy on disorderly conduct from guests, and rules for pets that outlines that they must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after.
In addition to the policies of Pine Ridge RV Park, Bryan and Charlotte host barbeques and cookouts for the patrons at least three times each year. These cookouts have been held during American holidays such as Memorial Day, The Fourth of July, and Labor Day. In their own words, the owners say they "want to make the park nicer and keep making improvements for the guests." The property hosts multiple demographics, including families and traveling medical personnel, but the most common demographics found in the park are retired individuals and families.
Pine Ridge RV Park has received various reviews throughout its operation, with the campground's aesthetic and service quality being what the owners believe the property is most known for. A previous guest to Pine Ridge RV Park described their experience at the campground as such: "This campground has character. Full hookups, good water pressure, and good Wi-Fi. It's an older property, but everything worked great, so that makes it charming. The new owners are super nice and working on updates."

Bryan and Charlotte Sims purchased Pine Ridge RV Park in May of 2019. Previous to buying the property, they were searching for a way to stay busy and active during their retirement years and decided that the way that they would do that was by owning and running a campground. After coming to this decision, Bryan and Charlotte began searching for the property that they would eventually buy and came across Pine Ridge RV Park. They spent a year making the decision of whether or not this would be the place that they wanted to purchase and ultimately bought the property. After operating the business for a few years, Bryan and Charlotte say that their favorite part of running Pine Ridge RV Park is "meeting all new kinds of people."
