Paradise RV Park

Paradise RV Park is located east of a small town called Moss Bluff and north of a much larger city called Lake Charles, within the state of Louisiana. The RV park has two locations that are both located in a business and residential area. In the surrounding area, there are many rivers and lakes that are within a short distance by car. Between the two locations, there are a total of seven acres that potential visitors can explore. Paradise RV Park offers a daily rate, weekly rate, and monthly rate, meaning guests can have various options regarding the duration of their stay at the park.

About

Paradise RV Park has two distinct locations that are roughly a mile away from each other. There are a grand total of 88 RV sites, with 43 of them being at their first location and 45 of them on their second. Each site has a concrete pad with 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical services, along with water and dumping stations. Several amenities that are offered to guests include a large bathhouse, laundry facilities, a dump station, and daily trash pick-up. On the property, there is security lighting within the park in an effort to keep patrons safe and make it more convenient for guests to find buildings or units during nightly hours. The campground is handicap accessible for guests with wheelchairs and other specific needs. Also provided are free cable television and free Wi-Fi for guests' entertainment wants and needs.

The Paradise RV Park is open at all times of the year and is available for visitors that are looking for an extended stay. Previous customers have noted that the location of the property is in a convenient spot, in that it is next to several restaurants, a casino, and a truck stop. A small list of restaurants and casinos that were recommended by the owner, Mister Edwards, includes Loggerheads Bar & Grill, Golden Nugget Casino, and L'auberge Casino. Loggerheads Bar & Grill serves chicken wings, hamburgers, onion rings, and seafood baskets. The Golden Nugget and L'auberge Casino both have multiple dining options so that guests are able to pick from a variety of things to eat.

There are numerous parks in the area that are available to the public that guests can spend time at as well. Prien Lake Park is about a 17-minute drive from Paradise RV Park and has a boat launch and a small splash and play area. The Mardi Gras Museum is a unique museum that is available for visitors while they stay in Lake Charles. The Mardi Gras Museum is a local museum full of costumes, floats, and history regarding Mardi Gras for guests to experience.

Culture

Most guests who stay at Paradise RV Park are traveling workers who need a place to stay for an extended amount of time. Paradise RV Park is not typically a vacation or destination campground. The typical demographic of patrons who visit are usually workers, though families and travelers will stay in the campsite throughout the year as well. The camp is open year-round and remains consistently full due to the fact that some guests, if not most, stay for an extended period of time.

The owner of Paradise RV Park says that the goal of the park is to create an atmosphere that can help guests find relaxation and rest in the campgrounds, potentially after a long day of work. The hope is that working patrons can be ready for their next day. Paradise RV Park is not a campground where guests will find loud or late-night parties. The property has been described by previous guests as being neat, clean, and well-kept. Guests also comment on the park's cleanliness, the kind owner, and how the concrete sites are a convenient size. One previous tenant said, "Concrete slabs, very clean, very quiet, great daily rates, and the owner was so wonderful to work with."

Depending on which campsite is chosen, it will either be concrete or grass. The lack of dirt and dust on the property is a primary contributor to the park's neatness. Both of the RV parks are on the north side of Lake Charles. Lake Charles is known for having a good school district and a friendly neighborhood amongst people who have stayed there long term.

There are a wide variety of activities in the area for visitors to spend their free time doing, including all manner of sports, fishing, and crabbing, which are popular activities in the area. There are plenty of lakes in the area, as well as waterparks for kids. For a night out, guests can find a variety of casinos to eat, drink, gamble, and shop for the night. There are also a number of golf courses that can be found locally, and with rivers to the east and west, there can be more fun to be had by way of water sports and other outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and guided hunts.

History

Mister Edwards is the current owner of both of the properties that make up Paradise RV Park. He took ownership of the first property about six years ago, back in 2015, and has opened the second property within the last two years. Mister Edwards entered the campground industry because, at the time, there were not that many places for travelers to park their RVs in the surrounding area. Many workers were coming into the town because of the significant natural gas and liquid gas expansions, and they needed a place to stay for the night while they were working during the day.
