About

The Oasis Lake Buchanan is located in a small community along the shoreline of Lake Buchanan. Dense forestry, shrubs, green grass-covered lawns, and lakes surround the park. Oasis Lake Buchanan occupies three acres of the Lake Buchanan shoreline. There are eight RV sites and six cabins available to reserve on the Oasis Lake Buchanan property. Every site on the property cabin and RV alike have views of the water and private areas to layout lawn chairs and play games.

Seven of the RV sites on the property have fresh concrete RV pads with back-in access. The seven sites all back up to the Lake Buchanan shoreline. The eighth RV site is located in the more forested area of the park and has no local sewer hookups. Some of the amenities included at the lakefront RV site include fifty and thirty amp outlets, water hookups, a sewage drop, and a 120 dual outlet. Each of the sites vary in size, so it is likely that there is a site big enough for some of the largest commercial RVs and campers.

The six cabins are identical with two full-size beds, bathrooms, and a full kitchen with dishes and utensils. Lake Buchanan is within walking distance of each of the cabins, which is the main attraction to guests of Oasis Lake Buchanan and those who spend time in the Burnet and Llano Counties. All of the cabins have a large grassy lawn and a small private beach along Lake Buchanan just outside their doorstep. Two large picnic tables, trash bins, and a grill are located at each 640 square foot cabin. Parking space for trailers, boats, and additional vehicles are also available for both guests who reserve RV sites and cabins. Additional amenities on the property include the large boat ramp located on the east side of the park. The boat ramp gives guests quick access to the lake for those with boats, canoes, and jet skis.

Fishermen can find a variety of fishing opportunities with fish cleaning stations available for daily use. Lake Buchanan has kayak rentals and tour guides who often take Oasis Lake Buchanan guests to explore various waterfalls throughout the body of water. Splash Boat Rentals rents out kayaks, ski boats, pontoon boats, jet skis, paddleboards, and several other water rides. The forest surrounding the property is filled with wildlife. Some of these animals include vultures and hawks. Oasis Lake Buchanan is currently building a store for the property to aid their campers. The property is open year-round, with the summer and fall months being the busiest times of operation.

Culture

The owners and staff of Oasis Lake Buchanan created the park with the intent of making a family-friendly culture through its water activities and views of Lake Buchanan. The cabins and RV sites can be reserved for large group gatherings, and the private beach can be a convenient place for guests to relax or play games. Guests of the property have mentioned the "old retro vibe" they experienced with staying at the RV site, referring to the property's history as something of value.

Being near the lake is a sought-after tourist attraction, and the area as a whole is often considered to be a spot to relax. The owner Josh Parker explains that he strives to give off an environment at the campground that is relaxed, yet energetic. Many of his guests' reviews express appreciation for that effort, noting specific elements of their stay that they enjoyed. Specifically, one verified guest at Oasis Lake Buchanan left this review: "Our area was clean and had everything we needed. The guy that runs the park is super nice and accommodating. So quiet and beautiful, with a great boat ramp."

The city of Bluffton is an unincorporated community in Llano County, with a population of seventy-five people. Fifteen minutes from Bluffton is Llano, the county seat of Llano County. The city offers several parks for consumers to spend time at as well as the Llano County Museum, which details the rich history behind the county.

History

Oasis Lake Buchanan was owned by the Chrism family for over fifty years before it fell into the hands of the current owner. The property was called Chrism Lodge for over fifty years. Josh Parker purchased the property in 2019. Over the next year he added RV sites to the campground, and changed the park's name. He was inspired to name the park Oasis Lake Buchanan for its location and the "oasis" he hopes to create as he owns and manages the property.
