Night RV Park

Night RV Park is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, which is a large city found on the Mississippi River. There are 104 RV spaces and six rental houses that can be reserved. The owner allows guests to reserve a unit daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. Each RV space comes with full hookups, including water, sewage, and electricity. The business has security cameras installed to aid in keeping patrons safe while they are spending time at the establishment. Outside of Night RV Park, visitors can spend time in Baton Rouge, where there are various restaurants, auditoriums, and places to find live music. The Mississippi River to the west and marshlands to the south can provide visitors the chance to go fishing or take tours of the environment.

About

Night RV Park has a total of 110 units available for guests to reserve, with six of them being rental houses and the rest being RV sites. The business is open year-round and offers reservations on daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly leases, allowing people to move there for a more permanent stay or to stay for a couple of days.

The RV spaces come fully equipped with hookups for sewage, water, and electricity. Most of the RV sites have 30 and 50 AMPs available, while the others only have 30. Andy, the manager of the property, estimates that about 70% of the total RV units have 30 and 50 AMPs, while the rest are only 30. The six rental houses come furnished and have a kitchen, bedroom, and private bathroom. The rental houses are found near the front of the business. Wi-Fi is available across the grounds to everyone that has a reservation. Also, at the entrance to Night RV Park is a bus stop that can take people to various places in the city.

The RV camp is found outside of the city limits, near the edge of the woods. They are in close proximity to Waddill Wildlife Refuge, which is north of the establishment. The central part of Baton Rouge is found to the west, along with the Mississippi River, which can offer recreational water activities. The manager of Night RV Park, Andy, mentions that there are several casinos that can be found in the town. There are also a variety of auditoriums where bands can play. Due to how close it is to the Mississippi River and the marshlands in the south, one can also find a variety of swamp tours, fishing, and more. Andy also says there are a number of museums and other historical places in the vicinity. Restaurants are widespread in the city, and there are many along Florida Boulevard, the same road that Night RV Park is on. A few eateries close to the business include Sonny's BBQ, The Bayou Affect, and Pete's Tavern. Sonny's BBQ specializes in serving grilled and smoked meats. The Bayou Affect offers a variety of seafood dishes like fish baskets and fried fish sliders, but it also has egg rolls, lamb chops, wings, and more. Pete's Tavern offers various alcoholic beverages and has a stage that can host live music while guests dine.

Culture

The manager of Night RV Park, whose name is Andy, would like patrons to feel safe and welcome when they arrive. He explains, "I run this place like it is a big neighborhood." To help people feel welcome and secure during their stay, the company has put up security cameras across the grounds that operate 24/7. These cameras allow the owner and manager to monitor what happens in the park and watch for any illegal activities.

The business has policies that visitors are asked to abide by while staying at the RV park. Occupants are allowed to bring their pets, as the park is pet-friendly, but the manager asks that the pets be kept on a leash when they are outside and that the pet owners clean up after their animals. There are no age restrictions on the park, so families with young children are welcome to stay if they would like. Events don't often take place on the property, though if people want to have a get-together or small activity, it is permitted as long as they are respectful of the other visitors in the park.
Many people that stay at Night RV Park are there for business or work in the city. Some of them stay for a short period of time, while others stay at the RV park for an extended amount of time. Regardless of how long people spend at the park, Andy, the manager, explains that the park is consistently busy throughout the year, mentioning that he sees a wide variety of guests, ranging from families with small children to single visitors looking for a more quiet place to stay.

History

Ever since the current owner purchased the business about a year ago, several changes have been made. The installation of security cameras occurred with the new owners, and Andy (the park's current manager) mentions that the owner wants there to be a better focus on customer service. According to Andy, "We make sure everything works all the time. If the customer has a problem, we make sure it gets dealt with, if not immediately, then as soon as possible."
Andy was led into the industry because he was retiring from his previous line of work but decided that it was more boring than he liked. Soon after he came to that decision, he came to Night RV Park and got a job as the site manager. He started about a year ago, shortly after a hurricane occurred in the area. Andy and the rest of the employees went about fixing up the grounds and turning it back into an RV park as it was before. Andy mentions that his favorite part about working at Night RV Park is getting to know the people who come to fulfill their reservations. He enjoys meeting people, learning about where they are from, and helping them enjoy their time in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
