Julie Knight, the present owner, reports that her grandfather started the business in the early 1960s. Notably, Julie says when her grandfather established the campground, it was the first in the town of Presque Isle. In the 1980s, Julie's parents—Bob and Barb Kinney—purchased the acreage and have been operating the campground until 2023, when Julie took over management. She also enjoys "being outside and connecting with nature."
