Morrilton RV Park

Morrilton RV Park is located just outside of Morrilton, Arkansas. The park is found next to I-40 and occupies about 15 acres of land, which encompasses RV space, cabin, tent camping, trees, and grass. Outdoor public spaces, such as a playground, pavilion, and picnic tables, are provided. Morrilton RV Park also includes an office, a PIN-accessible shower house, a coin-operated laundry facility, and a gift shop that sells snacks, hygiene items, and supplies. The property is pet-friendly, although dogs must be leashed at all times in an effort to ensure safety and cleanliness at the RV park. A formal quiet time is not in place; the staff feels that the majority of guests are courteous of their neighbors in that respect. The area's most common attraction, according to the property manager, is Petit Jean State Park, which houses Petit Jean Mountain. The manager states that many park visitors stay at Morrilton RV Park specifically to visit Petit Jean State Park.

About

Morrilton RV Park is a 15-acre RV park located at the edge of Morrilton, Arkansas, next to I-40. The park has about 53 RV sites. According to Dianna, the park manager, most RV units are pull-throughs, and about ten are back-ins. All sites have full hookups, including a split between 30-, 50-, and 30/50-amp electrical services, depending on the individual unit. Three nightly-weekly cabins with fire pits are available for rent as well, and a few additional long-term cabins are in a different section of the RV park. The cabins are located in a separate section of the park apart from the RV units.

Picnic tables can be found throughout Morrilton RV Park, as well as a covered pavilion open for guest use and a playground. Visitors can also use the coin-operated laundromat and the shower house connected to the main office, the latter of which is accessible with a PIN code. Dianna also mentions the property's gift shop, where guests can purchase canned and bottled drinks, chips, candy, laundry soap, body soap, toilet paper, trash bags, dish soap, and other items. Trees can be found throughout the park, and much of the area is covered with grass as well.

Morrilton RV Park is just outside Morrilton, which Dianna describes as more of a town than a city. As such, she says there are few attractions in the area. However, she indicates visitors often visit Petit Jean State Park and Petit Jean Mountain; in fact, Dianna claims many guests stay at Morrilton RV Park just to travel to the mountain later. The restaurants she would recommend to visitors are Colton's Steak House & Grill, Yesterday's, Chop Sticks Chinese Buffet, or any of the multiple food trucks in the area.

Culture

Dianna, the park manager of Morrilton RV Park, would like guests to feel safe and welcomed during their stay at the property. She and the staff try to let visitors know to contact them if they need assistance with something, but they also make an effort to give visitors space. Dianna affirms that the staff does not interact with guests too frequently—as an attempt to give them a sort of independence during their occupancy—but the staff are available to help answer any questions. The staff's contact information is typically posted or given to current occupants so that they know who to reach under such circumstances.

While Morrilton RV Park does not host any activities or events, Dianna explains that occupants can host their own events. They could use the pavilion and other outdoor spaces for said activities, although she notes that visitors have not previously directed activities in the past.

Morrilton RV Park's most important policies state that pets must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after to maintain the safety and cleanliness of the park. Visitors are also required to keep their rental space clean. Furthermore, Dianna says an official quiet time is not enforced, but she and the staff implement a one-warning rule for noise complaints. However, she mentions Morrilton RV Park seldom has problems with noisy guests, as most of them are aware that they must keep noise to a minimum after dark.

Regarding what she believes are the most unique aspects of Morrilton RV Park, Dianna says she considers the "diverse" range of rental options a standout quality. Visitors can choose between RV sites, nightly-weekly cabins, monthly cabins, the two covered lots, and the four tent camping sites. She also says the area is notable for being "safe and quiet."

Morrilton RV Park is open year-round. While Dianna has worked at the park since May 2022, she speculates the peak season lasts from about May through the end of August. She explains that more people travel during that period of time. The summer weather is another factor that she believes encourages people to travel more throughout the area.

History

Morrilton RV Park was constructed as an RV park around the 1980s. Its current owner, Richard DeLuca, purchased the property in September 2021, and he has several additional properties. Dianna, the park manager, has worked at Morrilton RV Park since May 2022, and she says she enjoys interacting with the travelers and "making sure they have a spot to rest during their travels."

Since Richard DeLuca's acquisition of Morrilton RV Park, one of the cabins was converted into a nightly-weekly unit. The staff has performed extensive maintenance and cleanup throughout the park, trying to keep it up to modern standards and invite a more "friendly" atmosphere, as mentioned by Dianna. The roads leading to the RV section have also been under repair and maintenance, and they will continue to upgrade for the next few months. Dianna does not know much about the park's past before Richard's acquisition, but she says that the property has "improved a lot" over the last few months.
