History

Midtown Mountain Campground is owned and operated by Rich Cozier and his family. They purchased the property in early 2019. The property was previously known as the Blue Spruce Campground before it was changed to the Midtown Mountain Campground in 2019. Blue Spruce was primarily an RV park when it was first established in 1942. It was a long term RV park for workers in the area. The Dozier family rebuilt the park, changed its name, and developed an "anti-RV park" approach, with many activities and amenities to make every guests' stay more enjoyable. They also limited the time each guest can book at the property. This built a broader demographic of guests.
