Lake Striker Resort is located in Reklaw, Texas. There are 29 different units available to those wanting to stay at the property, 5 of which are cabins, 18 are RV sites, and 6 are hotel rooms. Additionally, for those who would prefer to camp in a tent, the staff has spaces available for such. A worker for the resort says that the goal of the business is to have each patron feel at home when they stay at the establishment. She and the other staff members strive to interact with their guests and fulfill their needs in the hopes of providing this atmosphere to their visitors. Many events are held at the Lake Striker Resort, including various cook-offs, fireworks for certain holidays, and live concerts. The owner and managers of the resort strive to keep things clean and up-to-date for those that visit the property.
Lake Striker Resort has five cabins, six hotel rooms, and eighteen RV spots available for visitors to rent. The cabins are located in an open area on the property. All cabins have full-size beds and kitchenettes. They have a refrigerator, a microwave, and coffee pots. Stoves are not provided inside the cabins. They also include full-size bathrooms with showers. Additionally, each cabin has a porch that can be utilized by guests.
The main building on the property is where each of the hotel rooms are located. One of the workers of the Lake Striker Resort states that each room has full-size beds and a full bathroom. They also include the aforementioned refrigerator, microwaves, and coffee pots. If needed, visitors can request to use hot plates to heat up any food they may need.
Every RV site has full hookups and 50/30 AMP electricity. The sites are mostly back-in sites, with the exception of two locations. When requested, a portable fire ring can be used at each RV site by guests. Each RV spot is generally surrounded by trees, which can provide shade for those staying at Lake Striker Resort. Each unit type is located on a different part of the property, all of which are within walking distance of the others. For those who prefer to camp with tents, the manager states that they also have room for such throughout the grounds.
Lake Striker Resort consists of about 18 acres of land and on the lakefront, each unit having a view of the water. There are laundry facilities and, within the same building, a bathroom and shower facility. There is a bait store that sells fishing equipment, floaties, snacks, sodas, and staple foods such as cereal, bread, and milk. Other necessities can be found at the bait store for those that might need something that they have forgotten. Additionally, there is a restaurant on the property, the building itself sitting right next to the lake, that is open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is called Lake Striker Restaurant.
A worker at the Lake Striker Resort says that she hopes that her visitors feel like "they are at home" when they stay at the property. To help guests feel this way, she says that "If there's a need, we try to fulfill it." The staff at the resort interact with their patrons often, having many events throughout the year to help facilitate that. Some of these events include a Valentine's day dinner; fireworks on Memorial day, the fourth of July, Labor Day, and New year; and multiple cook-offs. There are many other events, some of which are more spontaneous than others. Some important policies that guests are expected to follow include keeping the establishment safe and clean. No illegal drugs are allowed on the grounds, and patrons are asked to keep the environment family oriented. Quiet hours start at 10:00 p.m. and end when the sun comes up in the morning. Pets are allowed on the property as long as they are not aggressive.
The worker states that the resort is mostly known for the restaurant that they provide to the public, Lake Striker Restaurant. Otherwise, the establishment reports that the staff is something that makes the business unique, as they strive to be close to their guests and to help them when they may need assistance. Lake Striker Resort is open year-round, with its busiest season being from April through September. Staff reports that those months are probably busy due to the weather being warmer and the lake being more of an attraction during that time. Many visitors to the campground have left reviews about various aspects of the property that they have enjoyed. One such guest said in a review, "The resort has very hospitable staff. There are nice facilities and good fishing available, the business is quiet, and the restaurant was good." Another patron wrote, "I liked this place. It was peaceful, and there wasn't a lot of partying. The dock was nice and had beautiful lights all over it."

Some of these attractions that draw people to the area include Tyler, which is reportedly famous for its rose festival and its tomato festival, and Palestine, which also holds many celebrations. Some places that staff recommends visitors to eat at in their area includes, Lake Striker Restaurant, which is located on the resort and run by their staff. Two other places that she recommends include HushPuppies Catfish and Seafood Restaurant and Laughing Crab - Cajun Seafood.
Lake Striker Resort was established in the years 1956 and 1957. The property has had sites to stay at since its beginning and has always had a restaurant available to visitors. The hotel on the resort has been available since the 1970s, and many changes were made to the establishment up to the point that it is currently at today. The business's current owner is Leonard Nicol, having purchased the property in 2018. One of the resort workers says that "he's made a lot of improvements to it" and that he has upgraded it. Since purchasing the Lake Striker Resort, the owner added some more cabins, renovated many of the hotel rooms, and has strived to keep the grounds up-to-date.
The manager had initially worked at the business in 2015 but moved away after a short while. In March of 2022, she and her husband decided to return to the property and have worked on it ever since. One worker's favorite part of working at Lake Striker Resort is meeting all of the people that come from around the world, stating that "it's really interesting to get to know the people that come in." She says that she and her husband have made many friends while working at the resort.
