Eagle Resorts RV Storage is on the western edge of Fort Worth, Texas, a few minutes south of Eagle Mountain Lake. Currently, the RV park has 102 sites, with 25 of these being for short-term guests during the summer. In the winter, 15 to 20 short-term sites are open. All units offer electric, sewer, and water service, as well as garbage service and Wi-Fi. According to Taryn, the park manager, Eagle Resorts RV Storage is known for its proximity to Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth and its privacy from other properties. As such, guests can visit the lakes and Eagle Mountain Lake's beach and marina. Other local attractions include a rodeo, Fort Worth, Weatherford, Sundance Square, and nearby shopping or restaurant areas.
Eagle Resorts RV Storage is on Fort Worth, Texas's western side, and south of Eagle Mountain Lake. The property has 102 RV sites; 25 are available for short-term guests during the summer, and 15 to 20 are open during the winter, depending on park occupancy. In the words of Taryn, the manager of the park, the sites are "all-inclusive"; each has electric, water, sewer, garbage, and Wi-Fi service. The RV sites range in style and design, offering different options for different prices. The cheapest units are gravel with no yard, then progressively ascend to gravel with a yard and trees, concrete with no yard, concrete with a yard and trees, covered concrete with no yard, and finally, covered concrete spaces with a yard. Additionally, an adults-only part of the park is located in the woods. This portion is available year-round, and only people 18 or older can stay in that section.
Additional features throughout Eagle Resorts RV Storage include a recreation room with a pool table, ping pong table, chairs and tables with card games, and a big-screen TV. Taryn explains that the rec room hosts Sunday football watch parties, bingo on Saturday nights, and movie nights throughout the week. Furthermore, the park includes a laundry facility where guests can wash clothes for $2.75 and dry them for $2.00, a bathhouse, a playground, and a main office. An outdoor pool is open from May to November, and Taryn states that visitors can still lounge at the pool area during colder months, although they aren't allowed to swim. She also explains that there is "lots of space" to walk animals around, as the park encompasses a 13-acre property. Finally, Eagle Resorts RV Storage offers covered and uncovered boat and RV storage.
Eagle Resorts RV Storage is about two miles from Eagle Mountain Lake's beach, marina, and boat ramp. The campground is seven minutes from Lake Worth, where Taryn says guests can eat at restaurants and do their shopping. She notes once again that the park isn't near many other properties, saying it's "totally away from the craziness, but easy to get to the craziness." More attractions include the local rodeo, Sundance Square, Fort Worth, and Weatherford. Taryn affirms that "everything you want to do is in a 30-mile radius." Taryn's top three recommended restaurants are Taste of Italy, Ginger Brown's Old Tyme Restaurant & Bakery—about five minutes from the park—and Bosses Pizza, Wings & Burgers.
Taryn, the Eagle Resorts RV Storage manager, wants her guests to feel safe and at home while they visit. As a safety measure, she likes to know everyone who stays at the park; background checks are performed on every potential park occupant, and the sheriff occasionally visits the property to "keep people honest." Otherwise, Taryn says Eagle Resorts RV Storage is a "very big village" and "close-knit community." She enjoys being around people and doing what she can to ensure their safety. In addition to the previously mentioned activities at the rec room, Eagle Resorts RV Storage hosts crawfish boils in the spring, annual Fourth of July parties, pool parties, and a family Thanksgiving. When asked what she thought was most unique about her park, Taryn said its proximity to Eagle Mountain Lake and the corresponding beach and marina sets it apart from other nearby RV parks.
Several guest reviews seem to reflect Taryn's remarks regarding the time she spends with them. One visitor commented, "My family and I had a great stay at your RV park. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool while our dog made new friends at the dog park. My spouse and I were able to disconnect from the world and recharge our batteries." Another guest said, "The manager is amazing [and] very helpful. The RV park is clean and quiet. So far, everyone has been extremely friendly. The pool is nice, and my girls love it."
Eagle Resorts RV Storage has several policies in place. First, the park is pet-friendly and allows all dog breeds, although guests are limited to a maximum of three dogs during their stay. Pet owners are required to clean up after their pets. Second, any children under 15 need to be on their lot and with a supervised adult each night by 8:00 PM. Third, quiet time is from 10:00 PM to 10:00 AM. Eagle Resorts RV Storage is open year-round, though short-term sites alternate throughout seasons depending on occupancy.
According to Taryn, the Eagle Resorts RV Storage manager, the park has existed since the 1970s. It was previously owned by Tom and Brenda Davis before being purchased by the current property owner, Carol and Sons Investments, in 2019. Taryn runs the property and oversees many of its developments and operations. Since the RV park's acquisition, Carol and Sons Investments have performed a series of upgrades to the park's features. These include the addition of concrete sites, covers for vehicles and storage, a new washhouse, an office, the rec center, and laundry facilities. Taryn mentions Eagle Resorts RV Storage had about 60 sites when Carol and Sons Investments took over; now, the park has 102, and there are plans to add more concrete units. Additionally, they would like to add a dog park.
Taryn was led into the lodging industry when she met the man who is now her husband. He was living in an RV then, and Taryn explains that she "fell into it." She had studied public relations and marketing at Duke University but was drawn to the prospect of running an RV park as it would help her and her husband pay expenses. Over time, Taryn learned to run RV parks. She says running the RV park worked for her because it allowed her a social life while providing her with a place to stay. Today, she enjoys being around other people as often as she can.
