It is open year-round and has its busiest season in the summer months, from late June through August. This busy season correlates directly with the events of the fairgrounds. Pets are allowed, but only two are allowed per site, and the pets need to be on a leash when outside. Across the street from the park is the Crooked River, and nearby the property, there are also two reservoirs, the Prineville and Ochoco reservoirs. Adjacent to the campground is a fairground that provides various events and activities for those staying in the area.

The Crook County RV Park has five acres of land with 81 units for guests to stay in. There is an indoor community room with a fireplace, television, pool table, kitchenette, and vending machines on the property. Outside there is a public pavilion that has a fire pit, barbecue grills, and picnic tables included under it. There are two areas for pets as well, with a dog park nearby the campground. There are restrooms and showers that occupants can utilize and also a coin-operated laundry facility on the property. 

The RV park has two cabins close to the RV lots that have bunk beds included in them. The bunk beds have a full-sized bed on the bottom and a twin-sized bed on top. There’s also a full trundle that can pull out. In the living area of the cabins, there is a refrigerator, microwave, and picnic table provided for those who are staying at the RV park. There are 81 hook-up sites for the RVs, along with the two cabins. Of the 81 sites, 29 are are back-in sites, and the other 52 are pull-through sites. Some are 30-amp hook-ups, but the others are 50-amp. The guests have access to sewer, water, wifi, and on-premises garbage disposal. 

Nearby attractions for the Crook County RV Park are the Crook County fairgrounds that provide various events for those in the area. The Prineville and Ochoco Reservoirs are also located nearby so that visitors can participate in various water activities. With the Crooked River across the street, there is another location that provides the possibility of water activities. Nearby restaurants include the Barney Prine’s Steakhouse and Saloon, the Sandwich Factory, and Dillon’s Grill.

Across the street from the Crooked River in Prineville, Oregon, sits the Crook County RV Park. The owners of the property of the Crook County RV Park is Crook County itself and it is run by the Crook County Parks and Recreation District. The Campground has been in business for over 30 years and was created in its location in order to be near the fairground. It has always been owned by Crook County. The campground tries to provide a clean, comfortable environment for the guests. To do this, they attempt to keep it renovated and ready for guests. They are planning on adding a playground for the kids staying at the park. They are also planning on renovations to keep the power and Wi-Fi ready and available for the occupants.
