Grant County Public Utility District owns the property of Crescent Bar Recreation Area and has put in significant work to improve it. The area had been worked on in order to make this recreation area for a few years and was finished in the year 2018, making CBRA relatively new when compared to other campgrounds in the region. Before the park was a campground, it was only a 9-hole golf course open for people to play on. The property had been a golf course since the early 1970s, but the district decided that it was time to convert it into something new. The campground was later added, as well as other additions as time went on. Today, it is a campground that people can visit to be around nature, spend time in the river, and get away from busier towns and lifestyles.
