Clines Corners became a convenience stop back in 1934. Roy E. Cline had the idea to create a place for travelers to stop. Since then, Clines Corners has continued with its dedicated customer service in helping travelers along their road trips. Clines Corners is a desert climate and has warm summers and mild winters. The temperature rarely gets above 90 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer or under 51 degrees Fahrenheit during the winter.

Clines Corners Travel Center is relatively large, with thirty six full service RV sites. The property is located at Exit 218, just off of Interstate 40. Its close proximity to the interstate makes it easy to locate and just a few minutes' drive to pull in. Each RV site can accommodate to the smallest travel trailers and the largest Class A motor homes, according to the owner. Each of the thirty six RV sites offer pull-through access and contain full hookups of thirty and fifty amp, electricity, sewage, and water services. There is free internet and Wi-Fi available throughout the entire property. Pets are welcome at the Clines Corners RV Park; however, they must be on a leash with supervision. There is over thirty thousand square feet of retail space available for guest access. There is a propane tank exchange and a public garbage pickup.

Every guest is welcome at the convenience station, gift shop, and restaurants. Clines Corner RV Park is an hour's drive away from Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Santa Rosa. The property is open year-round. The summer and fall are the busiest time of the year at Clines Corners RV Park. The Café on Route 66 is Clines Corners' own classic American restaurant. Travelers and visitors at the RV park can eat meals such as burgers and burritos. The meals are inspired by homecooked recipes from New Mexico and Southern American locals. The restaurant is open every day besides Tuesday, and Wednesday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

History

George Cook is the owner of Clines Corners Travel Center. He has been running the property since the early 1980s. The property has been a travel center since it was first established in 1934 by Roy E. Cline. In 1939 Cline sold his property to S. Lynn Smith, who managed the place with his wife for thirty years. The property had five more owners until George Cook purchased the property. The property has grown from just a small convenience store and café to a thirty thousand square foot retail place with a large filling station, RV park, and two restaurants in the past twenty years.
