Instead of being at a standard living space, guests are invited into a "mountainside experience." 9 cabins take up the space at which Brundage Bungalows occupies, all of which are either studio, one room, or three-bedroom cabins. Of the three choices, guests have often chosen to stay in the studio cabins because of the relatively secluded feeling that a visitor might experience in the units.
The nine cabins on-site all have green pine walls to help contribute to the feeling of being in the mountains. Apart from the green walls, each cabin has a red roof, which helps the property to stick out to those who are looking for a place to stay. The property of Brundage Bungalows has been around for many years. In the middle of the 1900s is when this property came into existence. It was first run by family after family until it was given to an investor. After the investor was finished with his time there, Troy bought the property. As of the last 9 years, Troy has been the owner, and he remains the current owner of the property today.
Troy has made many changes to the property since buying it. Most of these changes consist of renovations and updates to the cabins. He says that he "rebuilt the cabins from the ground up," only leaving the walls and roof on them but changing everything else. All electrical, power lines, sewer pipes, insulation, and more have been replaced or updated. The kitchens were updated with new counters, cabinets, and a few other things because Troy didn't think they were what guests would appreciate most. Troy has a few more plans for the property while he is in charge of it. More updates will come to the current cabins, but he also hopes to provide guests with a couple more cabins that they can use in the future. These cabins will also be built in hopes that more people will come and stay at the property.
