Benton Oaks RV Campground, owned by Benton County, features 128 total sites. Nine of the sites are pull-through and nineteen of the spots are back-in. During the fall season, the campground typically receives the most visitors, while January to February are the slower months for the property. The staff strives to aid in their guests' experience by trying to create a laid-back, welcoming, and relaxed atmosphere. The nearby university and veterinary hospital are both draws to the area, as many visitors come for medical purposes. A fair amount of stores and shops can be found within walking distance of the campground. In addition to the shops, several brewpubs are located near Benton Oaks RV Campground.

Benton Oaks RV Campground is located on Benton County Event Center & Fairgrounds, featuring 28 full hook-up sites and 100 partial hook-up sites. The acreage is owned by Benton County and the establishment is open to the public year-round, excluding July 15th to August 15th when the property closes. Reservations of up to two weeks can be made and occasionally a limited number of extended stays can be available to guests. 

Each site gives occupants access to power and water for their RVs. Those who are staying at Benton Oaks are given the option to purchase propane which is not open to the general public. Additionally, the dump station is free to anyone camping at the property but for everyone else, there is a $7 charge to use it. There is an on-site laundry facility that requires an additional fee to utilize, as well as a bathroom area that is free.

The property does not include an on-site store, however, a shopping center located about a mile away from the property is available to those who may need to purchase necessary items for their stay. In addition to the shopping center, a mini-mart store is based within walking distance of the campground. 

The surrounding area of the premises is semi-urban. The terrain is relatively grassy with a number of oak trees that dot the grounds, providing a fair amount of shade. 

Several brewpubs can be found near the property. Guests are given a book upon arrival that Corvallis Tourism gives out for the purpose of exploring the area. The book includes many different dining options that can be found in nearby cities and towns. 

Culture

The majority of visitors who stay at Benton Oaks RV Campground are typically there for school purposes such as graduations or events at the University, which is in close proximity to the campground. Many patrons also stay at Benton Oaks for medical services or athletic events. One of the staff mentions that about forty to sixty percent of their visitors are there for the nearby school events. In addition to the university, there is a veterinary hospital nearby that a fair amount of people who frequent Benton Oaks come for. The establishment can be considered a mid-point between the coast and the mountains.

Though the property generally receives couples and older individuals, the county tries to put forth the effort in making Benton Oaks RV Campground a family-friendly place, welcoming people of all ages. The staff comments that patrons are allowed to have a fire pit on their site unless the fire marshal disapproves. Additionally, making sure that people don't overhaul their RVs is the one thing the county makes sure of, according to the staff. Quiet hour is enforced, in an attempt to help guests be considerate of neighboring visitors. This is due to the fact that the campground has experienced noise complaints in the past and this, in turn, has caused the county to be more strict with quiet hours.

The busiest time of year for Benton Oaks RV Campground is during the fall when football is in season. The general area is a "football hub," and from September to November many individuals stay at the campground for football season. The staff mentions that one of the most unique things about Benton Oaks RV Campground is the fact that the premises is a part of the "football link" and "university link," which visitors typically come for. 

Previous guests who stayed at the campground have commented on the access to the town and the university, as well as the service from the hosts. One particular visitor remarked, "Very quiet, loved the location, and the oak trees are a nice touch to the grounds. The Camp Staff is readily available and met up with us to give us the packet of info as we drove in at night." The county strives to help its guests explore the area during their stay. History

Benton Oaks RV Campground has been in business for over twenty years. The campground was first established in the late 80s, early 90s. According to one of the staff, it is the only campground within the area. The county hopes for visitors to feel relaxed and secure during their stay at the property.
