Situated on four acres of land in southern Texas, Beacon RV Park & Marina is located along the coast of Aransas Bay in the city of Rockport. In total, 50 RV sites are available for visitors to reserve, all of which are equipped with full hookups. The electrical hookups provide 30- and 50-amp service, and the majority of sites are pull-throughs that can accommodate rigs of up to 40 feet in length. A cement pad and a plot of grass are supplied at every site as well. It should also be noted that tent campers are also welcome to stay at the sites. All guests have access to WiFi and cable TV over the course of their stay.

In addition to the sites that people can occupy, Beacon RV Park & Marina has several facilities and amenities on the premises. Restrooms and showers are available for patrons' convenience, and a laundry facility with coin-operated machines is open for visitors to utilize. Moreover, the grounds feature a BBQ pit area where guests can cook their meals. For those who are hoping to engage in some of the establishment's on-site pastimes, an activity center with a kitchen, TV, books, and games is featured at Beacon RV Park. The property also has a pier that extends approximately 550 feet into Aransas Bay, and visitors often fish along this pier, according to the manager. Some of the fish that people can potentially catch include trout, drum, red drum, sheepshead, and flounder. A bait shop is also available for fishermen to utilize.

Beyond the grounds of Beacon RV Park & Marina, a number of restaurants and shops can be found in the vicinity. The surrounding land is also fairly nature-oriented; in other words, there are several opportunities for visitors to undertake outdoor recreation, many of which are within three to five minutes of the property. The park is within a three- to five-minute drive of Rockport Beach, where guests can go swimming, kayaking, sailing, birding, dolphin watching, and beach combing, among other activities. According to the manager, Rockport Beach is recognized as one of the few beaches with a Blue Wave certification. Additionally, hiking routes wind through various parts of the city, and the manager says that Rockport is located on the Great Coastal Birding Trail. For those who are seeking nearby dining options, the manager mentions that she can give recommendations for restaurants in the city.

Rockport frequently hosts events throughout the year. Future event attendees can view Beacon RV Park's website, where lists of several up-to-date events are organized by the month that they will take place. May, June, and October are the months when events in Rockport are supposedly held more frequently. The Babes on the Bay Fishing Tournament in May and the Kayak Fishing Tournament in June may pique the interest of those who plan on fishing during their stay. Other events involve pottery, dancing, shopping, and a variety of tours.

Culture

The manager of Beacon RV Park & Marina says that she and the owners want their guests to feel "relaxed and happy" during their stay. She believes that the location is a significant contributing factor to the atmosphere that she hopes to create. On some occasions, visitors host potlucks, bingo nights, and other similar gatherings—typically in the winter season. With regard to how often the manager and owners interact with those who are staying at the RV park, the manager comments that they try to leave the level of interaction up to the discretion of their patrons. As a general goal for how they operate the business, the owners and manager strive to provide a positive experience for everyone who stays at the park. One previous guest who was seemingly content with their stay commented in a review, as they stated, "Right across the street is their own pier and bait shop, so it's very convenient. The owner or clerk is always easy to work with, and it's the second time I've been there and enjoyed it very much."

Future patrons should be aware of a few notable policies that are implemented at Beacon RV Park & Marina.
