About

With three waterfront locations, the Alaska Creekside Cabins are positive to have a cabin for every guest's needs. Each cabin is located along salmon spawning creeks. The cabins are each decorated differently, some with rustic themes, others more simple. All have nature and wildlife oriented pieces and warm fireplaces. Each of the cabins has its own private deck, which overlooks either Cottonwood Creek or Sasilla Creek. The peaceful setting is a backdrop for creekside fishing, hikes, and home to a wide variety of native Alaskan wildlife. The Cottonwood Creek location sports the Serenity Cabin, the Chinook Cabin, and the Bella Donna cabin. Each cabin sits on a bluff overlooking Upper Cottonwood Creek and the Talkeetna Mountain Range.

When the Northern Lights are active, guests can see them over the Talkeetna Mountains. A pair of eagles frequent the area, and sockeye salmon lay eggs in the creek. The Coho and Whisper cabins are located in the Wasilla Creek Location. Each cabin has a deck guests can fish from. Two more cabins are located in the Shady Nook Location. These two cabins are close to the central Wasilla location. They are five minutes from the local grocery store and two and a half miles from the Iditarod Headquarters. Nearby there are many types of ducks, loons, and other kinds of waterfowl accustomed to being fed by locals and visitors alike.

Each cabin has a bedroom with a queen or king bed and a loft with single beds. They also have a living and dining area. Depending on the cabin, the size of these areas varies in size. Each cabin has a fireplace, heating system, television, DVD player, radio, and alarm clock. Extra linens are in each cabin. Each lodging spot has a full kitchen with all the necessary utensils, cups, pots, and pans. The cabins also have free WiFi, a coffee pot with a variety of coffees and teas included. A dry basket with different oatmeals and porridges is left for visitors, but the full kitchen is there to allow guests to cook their food. The bathrooms in each cabin have a jetted tub and medicine cabinet, along with some storage for guests' toiletries.

The Alaska Creekside Cabins are located just forty-five miles north of Anchorage. Wasilla, Alaska is only twenty minutes from the cabins, and the Anchorage Airport is about fifteen minutes away. When guests visit the area, they go fishing in the salmon creeks, hike through the mountains, go water rafting, and observe the northern lights.

Culture

The owners of the Alaska Creekside Cabins, Diane, and John Paoletti, built the Alaska Creekside Cabins for a wide variety of guests. They welcome families, couples, and single travelers alike. Each guest who passes through the Alaska Creekside Cabins should expect an authentic Alaskan experience. With a cabin located right on the creek shore, guests have the wilderness at their fingertips. Each cabin is secluded from one another. This makes each guest's stay feel more personal. The property is very wildlife oriented. The beautiful cabin was perfect for our needs, both in its amenities and location."

The surrounding towns are full of locals who lead backpacking trips, guide water rafting, and spot wildlife. Palmer, Alaska, has a small population of 7,306 people, and Wasilla has just over 10,000 citizens. Everything in the area is outdoor-oriented. Alaska Creekside Cabins are open year-round; however, the summer months are the most popular. Visitors come for the twenty-four-hour sunshine and the northern lights.
